The faculty works as a unit, drawing upon each other’s strengths. CTT assigns subject coordinators who attend Archdiocesan meetings for their subject. They inturn inform other faculty members of new instructional techniques and developments in each content area. They also serves as a resource for teachers needing information or suggestions. The teachers are committed to supporting the students and staff. In collegial fashion, we support each faculty member as we teach the children entrusted to our care. We draw upon each faculty member’s area of strength so that each person’s gifts and talents are best utilized. As role models, the teachers deal with their peers, students and parents in a professional manner. In an atmosphere of mutual respect and consideration, we inspire our students to model these behaviors in their daily lives. In our role as educators, we plan to provide the opportunity for academic advancement in a loving environment, where Christian values are reflected in all learning experiences. We focus on making each student feel welcome, comfortable and confident. At Christ the Teacher School, the faculty works together to develop each student to their fullest potential; preparing every student for their future. The faculty also endeavors to model the virtues of charity, honesty and patriotism so that students may follow our example. In so doing, we hope to strengthen those qualities which need renewal in the world today. Our words are not the ‘end all’ in life, but a beginning, which is reinforced through example. Our school is dependent upon parents to fulfill their role as the child’s first teacher. In cooperation with them, we work to insure the success of each student. Through periodic parent-teacher conferences and other forms of communication, parents are informed of their child’s progress. This two-way relationship enables both parties to become more aware of factors influencing the child’s academic and social development. It is believed that the unity of the administration, faculty and parents results in our school providing our students a Christian foundation that integrates all of the religious, cultural, social and personal aspects of life. |
